How to play
From download to your first hunt
Four steps from the download to the temple steps - then Getting started in the wiki takes it from there.
Install
Get the installer with the Download button and open it. Choose where the game goes - just for you, for everyone on the computer, or any folder - and it fetches the newest game (about 38 MB) and makes a shortcut.
Open it
Start Dillei Online from the shortcut. It checks for updates on its own every time it starts. When you open the installer, Windows may say it protected your PC because it is new to it: choose More info, then Run anyway.
Make an account
On the login screen choose CREATE ACCOUNT: an account number and a password. One account holds several characters.
Make a character
Pick your class and your name — then step out of the temple.

What is Dillei Online?
A 2D MMORPG made the way online role-playing games were made in the early days: a top-down pixel art world drawn square by square, three classes, magic you cast by speaking its words, and a world you share with everyone else who is playing.
Is Dillei Online free to play?
Yes. The game is free to download and free to play. Players who want to support it can become supporters with Dillei Coins for a few comforts - a star by their name, voyages to every dock, a bigger deposit box and more.
Which computers can play it?
Windows 10 and 11. The game is a small download and runs on modest computers; you need an internet connection to play.
Is there PvP?
Yes: on Grimvald, the world of Dillei Online, players can fight each other. Fair fights are free, but attacking someone who did nothing to you marks you with a skull.
What are skulls?
Attack a player who has no skull and hasn't attacked you, and you get a white skull - anyone may attack you back without blame. Too many unfair kills bring a red skull for 30 days: anyone may attack you without blame, and you drop everything you carry when you die. Even more ban the account. The exact rules - yellow skulls, how long each one lasts, the protection-zone lock - are on the wiki's Systems page.
What happens when my character dies?
You lose part of your experience and your backpack falls where you died, so you can go back for it (with a red skull, everything you carry falls). Your body stays there for a while with the names of whoever killed you.
How do I report a bug?
In the game press Ctrl + R to message a game master, or write to support@dilleionline.com. Beta testers also have a bug and idea board where they can paste screenshots.
Can I play now?
Yes — the beta test is open: download the game for Windows, make a character and tell us what you find. Things change often while we build, so follow the game on social media or join the community for the news.
