Updates

Patch notes

Everything that changed in Dillei Online, newest first - pick a version to read it. The game updates itself when a new version is out, and the same notes wait for you on the character screen.

  • New - places, monsters, items, features
  • Balance - made stronger or weaker
  • Fixes - things that did not work

New

  • The BESTIARY is a book now: categories with pictures, a search, how much of it you have filled, and a page for every creature you have defeated - its portrait, its danger, its kills and what hurts it.
  • Four tiers for every creature: 1 kill for its picture and danger, 10 for where it lives, 25 for its life, speed and blows, 100 for its loot table and what hurts it. A boss tells the same at 1, 2, 5 and 10 kills.
  • Open it with B, with the book button under the minimap or from the WORLD MAP. A line in the log tells you when a new tier is learnt.
  • 3 new achievements: Open Book, Tracker and Know Thy Foe.

Fixes

  • Drag a thing onto an empty square of its own bag and it moves to the front, as if you had put it down and picked it up again. Dropped on a stack of the same thing it still joins it.
  • Website: every monster page has Normal, Nightmare and Hell tabs with their life, damage and experience, and a death by a Nightmare or Hell creature opens its page on that tab.
  • Website: the Nightmare and Hell tabs show the real attacks now - every blow and spell twice or three times as strong, and the pulse of death, hellfire and soul drain those creatures gain.
  • Website: the kill statistics show Nightmare and Hell creatures with their picture, glowing white or red, and count how many of them fell. Click a column title to sort the table by it.

New

  • The icons under CAP that run out - haste, magic shield, the fight timers, world bonuses - show the time gone as a clock.
  • What you buy from an NPC goes into the bag labelled for it - potions into your potion bag.

Balance

  • The choirmaster sings faster: twice as fast at 55% life, 1.7 times as fast at 25%.

Fixes

  • One AUTOLOOT button instead of two: it opens the window, which has the switch and the ignore list.
  • A death by a Nightmare or Hell creature now names it - "a Hell orc leader" - on the death screen and in the death lists.
  • When the bags for a kind of loot and your plain bags are full, it goes into a bag labelled for something else instead of staying on the floor.

New

  • Point at a labelled bag: its tooltip says which loot it takes first and shows its icon.
  • A bag window title starts with its icon and its label, the bag name last - GOLD - BACKPACK.

New

  • Autoloot in a party: the loot of any kill by the party goes to the leader first; when the leader has no room or capacity left, or autoloot off, to the next member. Pass the lead to choose who takes it first.
  • Nightmare and Hell creatures shine: a white or red aura follows their outline, easy to spot in daylight as well as in caves.
  • 1 new achievement: The Party Purse (183 in all).

Balance

  • Nightmare and Hell creatures come half as often: one time in two hundred.

New

  • Nightmare and Hell creatures: now and then a monster comes back wrong - when it respawns, or rising again where it just died. A Nightmare (white skull) has three times the life and experience and hits twice as hard; a rare Hell one (red skull) six times the life and experience, three times the damage, two blows at once and a burst of hellfire. Each has its own glow and its own orb before it appears.
  • They pay 1 (Nightmare) or 2 (Hell) Warden marks to everyone who brings them down.
  • Bosses can come that way too - a seal keeper rolls again every time a group pulls the lever.
  • The BATTLE window: the crossed swords left of the helmet open it. It lists the monsters on your screen you can reach or shoot - never one behind a wall, never a player or an NPC. Sort it by distance or life with the icons on top; click one to attack.
  • Space now goes round the BATTLE list: the first, the second, the third, and back to the first.
  • Twelve themed backpacks, all animated: each seal keeper and the wyrm mother may drop their own, King Haldor gives a royal one with the promotion, and the end of the story a seal backpack.
  • The bags you had open when you left open again when you come back - by logging out or by closing the game.
  • Closing the game while you are in the world asks first, and tells you how long your character stays.
  • 5 new achievements (182 in all).

Balance

  • Nightmare and Hell creatures drop 3% and 5% more often - rarity is never changed.
  • Warden gear costs more marks: from 1,000 for the ring up to 6,000 for the blade, bow and sceptre.

Fixes

  • A spell cast past a party member no longer hits them - party members never hurt each other.
  • The songs of the choirmaster mark the burning ground; the safe quarter stays clear.
  • The minimap you explored is kept even if the game is closed in an unusual way.
  • Alt + click looting is gone - press G to grab everything around you.

New

  • Put an open bag down at your feet or on a square beside you and its window stays open - and so do the windows of the bags inside it. Take things out of it right there; pick it up again and the windows stay where they are.
  • 1 new achievement: Unpacked (177 in all).

Fixes

  • Throwing an open bag a few squares away still closes its window, as it is out of your reach.

New

  • The autoloot ignore list is now a plain list: drag a thing onto the LOOT LIST window - from your bags or from the floor - to ignore it, and click X to take it off again. It stays with your character on any computer.
  • Everyone can grab the loot around them: press G (Pick up around you) to take the top thing of every pile next to you.
  • A bag inside a labelled bag takes the same kind of loot once the outer bag is full, and its window title says so.
  • Patch notes on the character screen: one card per version - click one to read all of it in its own window.
  • Every list that scrolls has a bar you can drag or click - no mouse wheel needed.
  • 2 new achievements: Quick Hands and Swept Clean (176 in all).

Balance

  • Weapons and shots now hit for at least a fifth of their highest hit before armour: a weapon that hit 0-220 now hits 44-220.
  • Autoloot and its ignore list are now for supporters; the grab around you is for everyone.

Fixes

  • Choosing a bag label no longer walks your character to where you clicked.
  • Window titles keep their size and are cut short when too long, instead of shrinking to tiny letters.
  • Loot goes into the bag labelled for it even when a loose stack of the same thing is already in your backpack.

New

  • Autoloot: switch it on with AUTOLOOT on the panel and what your kills drop goes straight into your bags.
  • LOOT LIST shows everything monsters drop, by kind - set each thing or a whole kind to TAKE or SKIP; skipped things stay on the floor.
  • Autoloot rests while you are in a fight with players (you attacked one, you have a skull, or one attacked you), so nobody can fight and sweep the floor at once.
  • Bag labels: point at a bag in your backpack and click the + to choose which kind of loot goes into it first, and an icon for it.
  • Loot you pick up or autoloot goes into the bag labelled for its kind first - rare finds into a Rare finds bag - then into bags without a label.
  • A label stays with its bag: drop it, store it or trade it and it keeps its kind and icon.
  • Point at a bag whose window is open and that window glows yellow, so you always know which window is which bag.
  • The OUTFIT window is new: your look walking in all four directions, a tab for each part you can colour, and every outfit as a card - shop outfits you do not own yet shown dimmed.
  • 3 new achievements: A Place for Everything, Hands Free and Never Bend Down (174 in all).
  • One world for now: Silvaren is closed, and Grimvald is the world everyone plays on.

Balance

  • Arrows and bolts now stack up to 1,000 instead of 100 - fill the quiver once and hunt.

New

  • Sanctum hoards: a moment after a seal keeper falls, everyone in the party still standing is taken to its hoard, a room beside the arena.
  • In the hoard each of you has a sanctum chest of your own, the boss loot rolled just for you - only you can open it, nobody can take from it.
  • Open your chest and anything rare or better inside flares up for everyone in the room to see.
  • The hoard closes 5 minutes after the boss falls and its portal leads back; anything left in a chest is lost.
  • Bosses now fight with combos: a blow and two spells can land in the same moment.
  • Deep wound: some boss blows tear, and for a few seconds every heal on you does less - an icon under CAP shows how much.
  • Enraged: below a quarter of its life a boss hits harder.
  • Fury: if a sanctum fight lasts past 6 minutes, the boss hits harder every 30 seconds.
  • In a party, a boss may turn on someone who is not in front of it for 5 seconds - it calls out the name first.
  • Patch notes: every update, newest first, on the website and in a window beside your characters when you log in.
  • 4 new achievements: Spoils of the Sanctum, Hoarder, Light from the Chest and Before the Fury (171 in all).

Balance

  • Every boss is much stronger: 4 to 13 times the life (the mire mother 2,400 to 32,000, the choirmaster 15,000 to 180,000), harder blows and spells, bigger heals.
  • Each seal keeper is made for a party of up to three: the mire mother for level 45, the iron lord 58, the horned king 65, the sand pharaoh 70, the old widow 72.
  • The frost jarl is made for level 80, the heartwood 88, the deep flame 100 and the choirmaster 115; the wyrm mother in the desert for level 80.
  • Boss loot is rolled once for each survivor instead of once for the whole party.
  • Bosses give four times the experience they did.
  • Boss helpers (runesmiths, servants, eggs, giant spiders, saplings) grow with their boss, and the boss heals less from them.

Fixes

  • Website: monsters that killed players before 0.32.0 now link to their wiki page as well.
  • Website: the worlds overview now finds the numbers of every world.
  • Website: each kind of world bonus is listed once instead of once for every bonus queued.

New

  • The Online pages on the website are rebuilt in boxes, with an overview of every world, its record of players online and a chart of the last 24 hours.
  • Character pages show the outfit in its own colours, world rank, an experience bar, achievement points, last seen and the experience of each of the last 7 days.
  • Every death lists every killer: players link to their page, monsters to the wiki, with each share of the damage under the mouse.
  • Highscores (was Ranking) add achievements and the experience gained today or in the last 7 days, with outfits and the top three marked.
  • New Kill statistics page: for each monster, the players it killed and how many fell to players, today and in 7 days.
  • The Deaths page has a tab with only the deaths a player had a hand in.
  • The Supporter page now compares free and supporter accounts in a table.
  • 3 new achievements: A Good Day of Hunting (250,000 experience in one day), A Great Day of Hunting (2,000,000) and Record Crowd (167 in all).
  • Record Crowd unlocks when you are in the world as it sets a new record of players online.

Fixes

  • Logging in after an update no longer floods the game with hundreds of picture requests that could leave the world black.
  • The Supporter page now says correctly that free accounts sail home to Dillei and to Dawnwatch.

New

  • Grothmar is redrawn as a black land: the island grows, with black mountains up to three floors high, crags and lookouts with beacons and banners.
  • The Black Gate: three leaves of black iron two storeys high under a crown of spikes and a horned skull, between towers you can climb to great beacons.
  • Before the gate lie the dead of a beaten host, and the dead on stakes line the causeway landing.
  • The Spire now rises five floors to a great beacon on its terrace, and the warlord sits on a throne of bones.
  • The valley is ash and black sand, with cinder fields, orc forges, war banners, gibbets, skull piles and new bone fields in the south-west.
  • The Fire Mount now climbs four shelves of black basalt to a smoking crater.
  • The Warlord Deeps keep their halls, now dressed in orc style: black columns, forges by the lava river, war banners and a throne of bones.
  • 3 new achievements: The Iron Teeth, Fire on the Spire and Over the Black Land (164 in all).

Balance

  • PvP damage goes up from 25% to 50% for every blow from a player on a player: weapons, runes, spells, wands and mythical edges.

New

  • Dying is no longer a plain teleport: the world stands still, your figure leaves the body and a card shows what death took.
  • The death card lists the experience, levels and skills lost, what lies on your body, who killed you, the body timer and your death count; press RISE AGAIN.
  • Each kind of death has its own words: slain, defeated, consumed, murdered, fallen in battle and the red skull falls.
  • You rise again in a column of gold light at the temple, and everyone there sees it.
  • Your body shows as a gravestone on the minimap and the world map, with its time left under the mouse.
  • Hotkeys now show how many of that thing you carry, even from a minimized bag; at zero the picture greys out with a red 0.
  • A pixel-art orb now appears 5 seconds before a monster respawns, so you know where it comes from; a boss orb is gold and bigger.
  • Mythical edge damage now rises as its own number in its element colour, with a small burst on the target, for everyone to see.
  • Stairways down now show only their rim, so you can see the steps or the ladder on the floor below.
  • 3 new achievements: Witness, Temple Keeper and the secret Phoenix (161 in all).

Fixes

  • Shop outfits now lift their feet when walking north and south instead of just bobbing.
  • Potion piles of 10 or more show a cluster of the potion itself instead of a crate, so you can tell the kinds apart.
  • Bolts now point up and left and arrows up and right, so they are easy to tell apart.
  • Achievement banners now wait until you have risen after a death.

New

  • The exp bar is now as tall as the life and mana bars and shows how much is left to the next level.
  • +N on the exp bar shows what a kill gave; kills less than a second apart add up into one number.
  • The HUNT ANALYZER now says when your next level comes at your current pace.
  • Drop flares: when a rare or better item falls, a burst of its colour lights the screen for 5 seconds, bigger for legendary and mythical.
  • Mythical finds are now also written in the World channel.

Fixes

  • Long messages on the screen now wrap at spaces instead of being cut in the middle of a word.
  • Items inside an open bank box now show their tooltips.
  • Item names read right: an iron helmet, not a iron helmet.

New

  • New World channel: everyone in the world hears it, wherever they are; its tab comes right after LOCAL.
  • The Trade channel is now for trades: one line every 2 minutes per player.
  • Right-click a line in the chat for Send Message, Copy Message and Copy Name.
  • + MESSAGE at the end of the chat tabs opens a private conversation with any player by name.

Balance

  • Rune prices go up: explosion from 32 to 45, great fireball from 60 to 75 and sudden death from 162 to 200; sell-back prices and newbie runes stay as they were.
  • The choirmaster: discordant notes are now two 2x2 runes at the players, and the hymns no longer paint the floor - watch the braziers.
  • Every choirmaster song now has exactly one safe quarter: one brazier lit (stand in the light) or three lit (find the dark one); the two-lights song is gone.
  • The sand pharaoh: the shade is now three squares wide for the whole party, often right beside the pharaoh, with 6 seconds to reach it (was 4).

Fixes

  • Item counts in bags, the deposit box and the paper doll now sit on a dark plate, easy to read; 10,000 and more show as 10K.

New

  • HUNT ANALYZER: a new window from the little chart button above the backpack shows experience, loot, supplies and balance, so far and per hour.
  • It lists kills by monster, the loot you picked up and the supplies you used, priced at trader offers; RESET starts a new session.
  • Rune tooltips in bags, hotkeys and shops show the level and magic level needed (red when you lack them), your damage or heal, area and range.
  • The dwarf mines are much roomier: both floors are widened into new halls with lanterns, rails, carts and crates, and the same 110 dwarves.
  • Deep in the dwarf mines the works of the dwarves begin: an unfinished gatehouse of dark stone round the stairs to the iron halls.
  • 3 new achievements: In the Black, Gold Rush (100,000 gold profit in a session) and Fortune Hunter (1,000,000), 158 in all.

Balance

  • The explosion rune now needs magic level 6 to use, and the great fireball rune magic level 12.
  • Fireball now hits each creature a little harder than the great fireball, on its smaller 3x3 area.

Fixes

  • Rune tooltips no longer repeat the description, and a hotkey rune that ran out says you have none.
  • A lone rock square beside the ladder into the dwarf mines is now floor.

Fixes

  • Creatures on another floor are now only drawn, with no name, life bar, skull or damage numbers; their hits and missiles still show.
  • Look now reaches what is drawn: a creature on a higher floor, a roof or mountain top over the street, or the floor below through an opening.
  • A dead monster no longer answers a look on its square.

New

  • Creatures on the floors you can see are now drawn: from the foot of a mountain you see a fight on its ledge, and from above you see below.
  • Nothing is fought across floors: attacks, spell targets and invites still need your own floor.
  • Your mana bar: a thin blue bar under your own life bar, which can be turned off in Options.

New

  • New island: Grothmar, a black isle south of the orc war camp, reached over a stone causeway to the Black Gate.
  • Behind the gate: an ash valley with barracks, a forge yard, warg pens, a fighting pit and the Spire; in the south the Fire Mount with a lava crater.
  • Under it lie the Warlord Deeps, from guard rooms down to the war halls and the hall of the warlords; 338 orcs in all.
  • New: the brigand camp in the pine wood west of the cyclops plain, with hunters, and the Thieves Den below it with eight caves of assassins.
  • New: the Brood, a floor under the Hive with hive queens, tunnel tyrants, kollos and spidris.
  • Every hunting task can now be hunted: 1,142 new spawns are placed in the best area of each monster.
  • New ways into the golem quarry: a cave mouth on the cyclops plain and a south door from the pine wood by the dock.
  • 8 new achievements: Warlord Breaker, Queen Slayer, Outlaw Hunter, Through the Black Gate, The Fire Mount, Hall of the Warlords, Den of Thieves, Into the Brood.

Balance

  • The leash: a monster dragged more than 50 squares from its spawn, or to another floor, vanishes and comes back at home, with no loot or experience.

Fixes

  • Big drawings such as the amazon tents no longer show a line across them while you walk.
  • The outfit window now opens on the outfit you wear, not the default Citizen look.
  • The causeway to Grothmar is back over the lagoon.

New

  • Boss mechanics: every seal keeper and the wyrm mother now fight with their own mechanics on top of their spells.
  • Squares are marked on the floor before a blow lands; whoever still stands there loses a share of life that armour, protection or magic shield cannot soften.
  • The first time a mechanic comes, its lesson is written big over the game view; most ask you to move, kill something in time or lure the boss.
  • Each boss has its own: bog bubbles, hammer lines, aimed charges, a burning sun, egg sacs, rings of ice, roots, crosses of fire, hymns and burrowing.
  • 2 new achievements: Read the Room and Flawless Hunter (147 in all).
  • CHARACTER DETAIL: a DETAIL button on the BONUS tab opens a full status window with every skill, every gear bonus and where each comes from.

Balance

  • PvP damage: every blow from a player on a player now lands at 25%, down from 75% for spells and full damage for weapons.
  • Strong creatures (over 100 experience) now smash barricade barrels in their way; weaker ones are still stopped, and a magic wall stops everyone.
  • Lured creatures go home: one more than 15 squares from its spawn with no player near for 30 minutes is put back at its spawn.

Fixes

  • Things laid on stairs, holes and cave mouths now go through to where a player comes out, however they got there.
  • The BONUS tab no longer scrolls; when there is too much, it points you to DETAIL.
  • The amazon shore is rebuilt with a proper beach of sand and grass instead of square cuts.

New

  • SEND COINS: a new SHOP tab to send Dillei Coins to a character on another account, in steps of 25, up to 1,000 a day.
  • To send coins, your account needs a character of level 15 or more in that world.
  • Market sell offers can now ask for Dillei Coins instead of gold, with a 2% fee in coins.
  • New warriors pick a starting weapon on the new character screen: sword, axe or club.
  • Smart follow: chasing a target takes the shortest way round obstacles, and Space picks a target and chases it.
  • The target marker is blue while attacking and following, red when attacking only and green when following only.
  • With your deposit box open beside you, drag a thing from the floor straight into it.
  • 2 new achievements: Generous and Paid in Coin (145 in all).
  • A new guide mark for Caravan Master Sahir at the Sunscar oasis.

Balance

  • Starter items now sell for 1 gold; a rolled one still sells at its rarity price.
  • A diagonal step now costs two straight steps (was 1.94), for monsters too, so they no longer close in so fast.
  • The food spell (tesh bri) is removed from every spell book.

Fixes

  • The most you can buy from an NPC now also counts your capacity, and the window says how many you can carry.
  • The BONUS tab is readable: short bonus names, the name of a rolled item on its own row and long lines wrapped.
  • The training window shows its gold and Dillei Coin options in their own colours.
  • The Frost Seal hint now says the Greyspine can be reached on foot across the Sunscar, and the training isle mark names Drillmaster Tarn.

New

  • Item rarity: every piece of gear is rolled once as it enters the world - Regular 85%, Magical 13%, Rare 1.5%, Legendary 0.4%, Mythical 0.1%.
  • Drops, quest rewards, chests and Warden wares can all roll; NPC traders sell regular items only, and bags, ammunition and stackables never roll.
  • Rolled items carry bonuses (1-2 magical, 3 rare, 4 legendary, 5 mythical) such as hit points, mana, skills, speed, protection, critical hits and regeneration.
  • A mythical weapon gets an Edge (part of every blow again as an element); other mythicals get a Ward (one element protection up to 100%).
  • A boss mythical carries six bonuses and the name of its boss.
  • Rarity shows in colour in bags and on the paper doll, with a glow under rolled items on the floor and a beam over legendary and mythical ones.
  • A mythical find is announced to the whole world, with a MYTHICAL! banner for its finder.
  • Traders buy rolled pieces one at a time at 1.25x, 2x, 4x or 8x the price, and the market lists them under RARE PIECES.
  • Quartermaster Ilda now recycles Warden items from your bags for an eighth of their price in marks.
  • NPC windows v2: shops and the task board use the width of the game view, with a search, filters, a big item card and quick amounts.
  • 8 new achievements, from A Touch of Magic to Nothing Wasted (143 in all).
  • The wiki has a new Item rarity page.

Balance

  • Bonus ceilings: critical hit 20%, spell critical 20%, cooldown cut 15%; protection stays at 60% per element except the element of your strongest Ward.
  • A critical blow deals 1.5 times the damage (1.3 times on a player).

Fixes

  • Traders no longer buy bound items.

New

  • New region: the Sunscar, a vast desert east and south of the islands that joins the dunes of the Eastern Isle and the Greyspine.
  • The Greyspine can now be reached on foot through the Sunscar.
  • Sunscar places for levels 15 to 110: the salt road and a nomad camp, the scorpion dunes, the redrock badlands, the buried city and the deep dunes.
  • The glass waste round the crater where a shard of the fallen star struck, and the wyrm hollow with the wyrm mother, a boss that returns after 30 minutes.
  • The oasis holds the caravan rest of Caravan Master Sahir (a protection zone), who buys every creature product and sells potions, runes, arrows and bolts.
  • New desert creatures such as hyenas, nomads, scorpions, djinn, basilisks and sand wyrms, and ten new desert products.
  • Mirela, Orla and Sindri buy the ten desert products too.
  • 4 new achievements: Sand Walker, Mother of Wyrms, Water in the Desert and Where the Star Fell (135 in all).

Balance

  • Food is gone: no monster drops it, nobody sells it, and the meat you carry disappears; life and mana come back on their own.
  • Traders no longer pay for the starter kit items given to new characters.
  • Every class now carries twice as much.

Fixes

  • Things thrown onto stairs, a hole or a mine shaft now go through like a player; a ladder or a portal keeps what is laid on it.
  • Only Warden items are bound now: quest items can be put down and moved, but are still kept at death and never sold on the market.
  • A bag holding something bound now says which item is bound.
  • The small bag can be worn on the back and has twelve slots, as its card now says.
  • A thing on the floor can be dragged into a bag lying open on the floor beside you.
  • Map fixes: a pond shore corner, and the grass between the training yard path and the cobble road.

New

  • Place marks on the minimap and the world map: temple, shops, bank, market, boats, tasks, training, promotion and Warden stores; hover one to see what it is.
  • A 9-page tutorial for new players opens once at the first login under level 20, and any time from Options.
  • Options can switch quest marks and place marks on or off.
  • 2 new achievements: First Steps and Know Your Way Around (131 in all).

New

  • Many more monsters in the hunting grounds of Grimvald.

New

  • New island: Stormcrown, a storm isle for levels 85-115 in the sea west of the Elderwood.
  • A blasted heath, a mountain three floors high and a ruined temple of white columns on its crown.
  • Reached only by boat, a supporter island: 280 gold from Dillei to the pier of Captain Tarrow on its east beach.
  • New creatures: the storm giant, the thunderbird and the storm elemental, all hitting with energy.
  • They drop the energy-guarding sets (nightguard, shadowhide, starweave), sunsteel two-handers, storm and glacier wands and master rings.
  • Three new products: thunder stone, thunderbird plume and storm core.
  • 3 new achievements: Storm Landing, The Crown of Storms and Storm Breaker (129 in all).

New

  • 73 new items fill the gaps between tiers: bronze (level 14), runesteel (27), rimesteel (45), sunsteel (65) and obsidian (100).
  • Two-handed swords, axes and clubs at levels 30, 70 and 105: about 15% more attack, but no shield.
  • New class sets at level 45 (rimesteel, rimefur, rimeweave: ice and energy) and level 100 (obsidian, emberhide, cinderweave: fire).
  • New wands for the missing elements, master rings at level 65, new bows and crossbows, and ammunition at 27, 45, 65 and 100 from Garrick.
  • Brokk in Hammerhold sells the runesteel one-handers, shield and crossbow.
  • Burning and glowing items are animated wherever they are drawn, and things that burn or shine give light when held or worn.
  • 6 new achievements in a new Gear group: Five Metals, Every Element, Bowyer, Both Hands, Dressed for the Frost and Forged in Fire.

Balance

  • Weapon lines now climb 4-6 attack a step instead of about ten, so there are more choices at every level.
  • The new materials drop from 86 monsters, each a common drop of its level and place.
  • Deep monsters drop more platinum: kollos, spidris, chasm spawn, diremaw, hellhounds, magma colossi and fire devils.

Fixes

  • The screen no longer freezes after logging out during a fight.
  • A bag no longer shows the login picture (the forest) through it after a reconnect.

New

  • The Gate of Six is rebuilt: the four arrive trapped in a one-wide corridor, with six demons waiting in the hall beyond.
  • A seal pillar of burning runes rises on the door when the lever is pulled and sinks when the last demon dies.
  • The reward room: a bridge over lava, and each reward on show on a pedestal above its chest.

Balance

  • Demons are much harder: melee up from 450 to 650, with stronger great fireball, energy beam and soul drain - a challenge for a well-geared party of level 130.
  • The demons of the Demon Halls are the same creature: a hunt for level 130 and up.

New

  • New region: the Cinderreach, a volcanic island south of Dawnwatch over the causeway of the Wardens, open from level 50.
  • Emberwatch, the frontier town of the Wardens (a protection zone), with Tamsin, Orla, a deposit box and a forge.
  • On the surface: the Ashwood, the Smoking Peaks, the Fallen Keep and the lava fields round the Maw, with dragons, dragon lords and black knights.
  • Underground: the Smoke Tunnels, the Cinder Vaults, the Ember Halls and the Demon Halls, each floor a ring with two ways down.
  • New monsters: the demon, the three-headed hellhound, the fire devil and the magma colossus, with products to sell.
  • The Gate of Six: four level 100+ players of one party pull the lever and face six demons in a trap behind a level 100 door.
  • Its four chests hold the demonforged plate, the ashbrand, the hellfire longbow and the wand of the pit; each character takes one, once.
